Established in Aleppo under Presidential Decree No. 1759 and Ministerial Decree No. 434, Syrian Maritime & Transport Agencies–s.a. (SMTA) has served as a cornerstone of Syria’s maritime, surveying, and representation sectors for over 70 years.

Officially registered with Commercial Registration No. 1190 and Court Registration No. 215, the company quickly expanded its operations across Syria’s main ports and commercial hubs, including Lattakia, Tartous, Damascus, and formerly Banias.

Today, SMTA offers a specialized range of services including marine cargo surveying, loss adjusting, airline and tourism representation, and international claims handling.
